  3. - Peel and slice almost 2 pounds (or 0.8 kilograms) of potatoes.
    - Peel and slice 1 pound of onions.
    - Peel and slice three cloves of garlic.
    - Use dried parsley...or you can buy fresh parseley, take off the leaves, and chop the leaves.
    - Then you should boil 3.5 cups of chicken or vegetable broth in saucepan.
    - Then get a fry pan. Put olive oil in a large pan with the onions, garlic, and parsley. Fry slowly for 10 minutes or until onions are soft.
    - After 10 minutes, add a little bit of salt and pepper and turn off the heat.
    - In a large baking dish (like my glass one) put one layer of potatoes, then some of the onions and parlsey from the fry pan, then put on a layer of potatoes, and then layer of onions. Keep repeating...but potatoes have to be on top.
    - Pour hot broth on top of potatoes.
    - Take a bit of butter and put on the top.
    - Rub some aluminum foil with olive oil and place it (oiled side down) over the baking dish.
    - Put in oven at 400 degrees fahrenheit (or 204 degrees Celsius) for 45 minutes. Then take off aluminum foil and keep in oven for maybe 20 or 30 minutes until potatoes are golden and crisp.
